This zany fairy tale adaptation brings some familiar characters together such as the hungry Big Bad Wolf, a sassy Red Riding Hood, her irritated mother, dear grandmother, a hunter, and three funny and playful little pigs. The pigs attempt construction of their houses and the Big Bad Wolf tries to deconstruct their abodes so that he can fill his hungry belly.
The characters interact with each other and the audience to create a riotous combination of fun filled action.

MEET THE CAST

Jonathan Taylor - Cornelius B. B. Wolf
Jonathan is happy to be making his first appearance on the Center Playhouse stage. Jonathan is a level II acting major at Howell High School’s FPAC program. Though it is his first time performing here Jonathan is no stranger to the stage. At Howell Jonathan has played roles such as “Giles Ralston” in The Mousetrap, “Melvin Wilder” in The Diviners and “Ken Gorman” in RUMORS! Recently Jonathan made both his community theatre debut and musical theatre debut at the Strand Theatre as an Indian in their recent production of Peter Pan. Jonathan loves nothing more than to be on stage and appreciates Center Players for allowing him to do so and thanks all of the people here who help make that possible especially his fellow actors and Jack. In addition Jonathan would like to thank his parents, godparents, grandparents, siblings, and the rest of his family and friends who support him in the tough world of acting he couldn’t do it without them. Most importantly he would like to say, thank you to all of you who come out and support the show. I hope you enjoy it.

Jaclyn Trippe – Porky
Jaclyn is very excited to be “Porky” in the production of Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf. Jaclyn was “Nancy” in Oliver and “Captain Hook” in Peter Pan at her camp. Jaclyn is a sophomore at Howell High School, and is in the performing arts program. She is also very happy to say that she will be on stage with a costume she made, Little Red Riding Hood’s hood. She would like to thank her family, especially: Mom, Dad, T.J. and Uncle, and her friends for all their love and support. =)

Claire Tsiporukha – Bacon Bits
Caire, is 14 years old and feels privileged and excited to be performing in her first production with Center Players as “Bacon Bits” in Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf. Claire has performed a variety of different roles, such as “Gerda” in The Snow Queen, “Queen of Hearts” in Alice in Wonderland, “Sarah Brown” in Guys and Dolls, and “Lucy Ball” in Before They Were Famous. She has appeared as “Townsperson” in numerous plays such as Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, and Cinderella. Claire currently attends The Freehold Performing Arts Center at Howell High School, and was previously a member of The Opera Youth Choir at Monmouth Conservatory of Music.

Kaytie Spellman – Oink
Kaytie is a junior at Howell High School. She studies acting at the Actor’s Playground School of Theatre in Eatontown. Kaytie has been in many other shows such as Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland as “The Queen of Hearts”. This is Kaytie’s first production at Center Players, and she couldn’t be happier to be apart of it! Kaytie would like to thank all of her friends and family for coming to see her, and to wish the whole cast GOOD LUCK!!

Ray Ruiz - Piedmont Pierre
Ray welcomes the opportunity to do Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf with Center Players. Ray is a retired high school math teacher from Monroe Township HS, who has a passion for music. Ray has spent 33 years in education as a teacher and a coach. Ray is currently in a 6 piece band called Dusty Daze, where he plays keyboards and does vocal arranging. Ray also sings and arranges for a vocal group called the Echos, which includes our director Jack Rosmarin. Ray is a board member of the Mighty Oak Players of Monroe Twp. and has performed and directed in many of their showcases. Ray has performed on the Center Players stage before, in The Songs of West Side Story with the @ct Theater Company, and he did a Do op show with the Echos. Ray also appeared with @ct Theater Company in the 3 Tevye’s, and he played the role of McKenzie in A Day In A Life (a musical base of songs of the Beatles). Ray would like to thank Jack for making the call and giving him the opportunity. Ray would also like to thank his family for inspiring him to continue his dream of being on stage. To the cast and crew of Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf. It has been a pleasure working with such talented actors.

Allie Wertheim - Little Red Riding Hood
Allie is thrilled to be a part of Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf. Allie is a Level II Acting Major in the FPAC program and a sophomore at Howell High School. Some of Allie's favorite past productions include Bye, Bye, Birdie, High School Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and many others. She has worked behind the scenes as sound technician and stage crew for Annie Jr. and Aladdin Jr. She is also a member of Stars on Stage which performs at nursing homes and assisted living facilities on a regular basis. She would like to thank Jack and the entire cast for being so wonderful and supportive through everything.

Bernice Garfield-Szita - Grandma Hood
Bernice is delighted to be “onstage” with such energetic and talented actors and crew. She is a veteran thespian of over 40 years; acting, singing, designing teaching and directing in New York and New Jersey.  For the past twelve years she has served Center Players as VP of Community Relations and the President for 5 years. Some of her favorite productions she directed at Center Playhouse are: Crossing Delancey, The Immigrant, Steel Magnolias, Real Women Have Curves, Lost in Yonkers and co-director of Visiting Mr. Green. Bernice wants to say a special “Thank you” to Jack and Annie for working so hard to launch our “Let’s Pretend Children’s Series” and of course, the star of her personal life, her husband Bob for always supporting and loving theater and community with her.

Annie Wolbrom – Mrs. Hood, Producer
Annie has proven her love for the theater both onstage and behind the scenes at Center Players and other area theaters. In her role as “The Grandmother” in Little Red and the Magic Dragon, as well as her subsequent role as “The Goose” in Charlotte’s Web she entertained both children and adults alike. Annie’s first Center Players onstage experience was as the “Mother” in 6 Rms Riv View. Annie was producer and stage manager for CP’s Dracula, as well as Stage manager for Brighten Beach Memoirs, Friends, to name a few. She is thrilled to be working with such a talented cast, and a great director. Thank you Jack, for your trust in me, and your support in making my theater dreams come true.

Jack Rosmarin - Director
Jack is thrilled to be back with Center Players, and is very happy to be working with a wonderfully talented cast and crew. He most recently portrayed "Mr. Green" in the Center Players production of Visiting Mr. Green. He won the 2002 Perry Award for Best Actor for his performance in; Catch Me If You Can, which he will, once again, direct for Center Players in October. He has directed shows such as, It’s A Wonderful Life, Send Me No Flowers, That’s Entertainment, as well as a few musical revues. He has previously appeared in many local area productions such as; It’s A Scream, for which he received a 2007 Perry Award nomination as outstanding actor in an ensemble role, Leader Of The Pack, Phantom The Musical, Fiddler On The Roof, Sisters Rosensweig, Annie, It’s A Wonderful Life (Clarence), which he also directed, On Borrowed Time, Death Of A Salesman and as "Abe" in Beau Jest for which he received a Best Actor A.C.T. Award nomination. Films: Jack recently starred as "Freddy" in Freddy’s Anxiety and as "Mr. Silverberg" in The Megaplex. Television: The Chappelle Show and The Upright Citizens Brigade, on the Comedy Channel, 100 Centre St. on A&E. Off-Broadway: Adam’s Wedding at the Wings theater in Manhattan. Jack sends his love and devotion to the two women who are the center of his universe; his wife Michelle and his daughter Melissa.

Sandra DiBianca - Stage Manager
Sandra’s first volunteer experience with Center Players was baking her famous “lemon bars” for the production Visiting Mr. Green.  She again baked for Children of a Lesser God and helped out with refreshments, set-up and serving.  She was very excited when Jack Rosmarin asked her to be Assistant Stage Manager for Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.  Sandra is a substitute teacher at St. Rose of Lima School, Freehold. She is fluent in Spanish, loves to travel, enjoys cooking and gardening.  All her children keep her very busy.  She is very happy to be a part of the Center Players family.

Maria DiBianca - Stage Manager
Maria is 14 years old and attends 8th grade at St. Rose of Lima School in Freehold.  Her first volunteer experience with Center Players was ushering, helping with refreshments, setting up, and serving for Visiting Mr. Green and Children of a Lesser God.   She has taken two years of drama classes and has actively participated with school plays and shows.  She has taken 4 years of chorus and has even performed solos.  She has four years of dance at the Gallery of Dance which includes Broadway/Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop.  She would like to be a professional television actress.  Maria loves traveling, playing volleyball, photography, cooking, and hanging with friends.  She wishes to thank Jack Rosmarin for this amazing opportunity.  “You are a terrific director and I hope to be able to work with you for a long time.”
