FRED SANDERS: A TRIBUTE

As Fate Would Have It...

In the beginning of our troupe, there was one man who made a major impact in the establishment of Center Players. Fred Sanders, the Business Advocate of the Freehold Center Partnership in 1996, was a driving force of encouragement and advice in helping us make a permanent theater a reality in Freehold. Sadly, Fred passed away in 1997, never to see the actual opening of the theater.

Ironically, the new Center Playhouse theater is located right across the street from a recently completed park area which was dedicated to Fred on January 27, 2001. Center Players salutes Fred Sanders for his early support of our group and his devotion to the improvement of the downtown area.
