MEET THE CAST :

Jeff Caplan (Father Flynn) is pleased to return to the Center Players' stage having played Owen O'Malley, that bellicose Irishman, in last summer's 20th Century. Some recent favorite roles include Greg in Thirst-e Productions' Reasons to be Pretty, Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire at Shrewsbury Players, Sammy in NENA Productions' Blood Brothers, George in Of Mice and Men, Ellard in The Foreigner, Starbuck in The Rainmaker all for South Street Players, Yvan in Art at Eatontown Playhouse and Mickey in First Ave. Playhouse's production of Greetings!. A few other favorite past roles include Tom in The Glass Menagerie, John in Summer and Smoke, Happy in Death of a Salesman, Jake in A Lie of the Mind, and Lee in True West. His “other job” involves computers. He also writes and records music. |

Eve Connolly (Sister Aloysius Beauvier) is very pleased to be making her debut with Center Players. She was last seen at MCCC as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill in Pygmalion, and in 2008 received a Perry Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as Daisy Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy with Mauer Productions. She has also appeared as Berthe in Pippen, Eleanor of Aquitaine in The Lion in Winter, Hattie Walker in Follies, Reverend Mother in Nunsense, and Aunt Martha in Arsenic & Old Lace. Her experience spans a wide range of offerings including comedy, farce, drama, musicals and classics such as Steel Magnolias, Barefoot in the Park, The Cemetery Club, I Hate Hamlet, Miracle on 34th Street, Much Ado About Nothing, Anything Goes and Grease. She would like to thank Anthony and the staff at Center Players for their warm welcome and sends much love to her husband of 47 years for his constant love and support. |

Colleen Labella (Sister James) is excited to bring this beautifully wise play to life! Most recently, Colleen was seen as Abigail in the Holmdel Theatre Company’s production of The Crucible. Other performances include: Little Women (Meg March), The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor), Laundry and Bourbon (Elizabeth), Twelfth Night (Olivia) and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Nora, Perry Award Nomination). In 2009, she received the NJ Governor’s Award for Excellence in Acting. “Thanks to Mom and Dad, for allowing me the time to explore my own doubts; to Eck, for keeping me honest with myself; to Danny, Mike and Mark for their (sometimes grimey) advice; and to Anthony, for trusting me with this fabulous role.” |

Linda Saunders (Mrs. Muller) is thrilled to be a part of another Center Players production! Playing the role of Mrs. Muller in Doubt is definitely an honor and a dream come true for her. Most recently she was in two of our monthly play readings reading the role of Bessie Delany in Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years and also the role of Mrs. Muller in Doubt. Prior to that Linda enjoyed playing the role of The Gander in Charlotte's Web and also assumed the role of Co-Producer for I'm Not Rappaport also at Center Players. She started fulfilling her lifelong dream of acting when she was cast in The Vagina Monologues earlier this year. Linda is a resident of Freehold Township, originally from New York and works in Information Technology in the field of Healthcare. “I am grateful to be working with such a wonderful cast and to be a part of the Center Players family. I would like to thank my friends, family and especially my children Aisha and Ryan for their love, encouragement and continued support.” |

Anthony Greco (Producer & Director) is truly honored to be kicking off Center Players’ 10th Anniversary Season with this prolific and thought provoking piece! An active board member, Anthony directed last year’s successful productions of 20th Century, 12 Angry Men and will bringing some romance to the stage this February directing Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park. Although Anthony has appeared in dozens of shows throughout Monmouth & Middlesex Counties (including his Perry Nominated performance in Lost in Yonkers in 2006 with Center Players) he has recently spent more time devoted to directing, some of his favorite projects include: You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Gypsy, Oliver!, Barefoot in the Park, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, 12 Angry Jurors, Seussical, Once Upon A Mattress, and Bye Bye Birdie. Anthony is the resident director at Monmouth Regional High School in Tinton Falls where he is currently in rehearsals for another Neil Simon favorite The Odd Couple which opens in December. |
